Ring5 resonator + Element5 modal synthesizer bring Mutable Instruments' modal resonator and physical-modeling synth to Reason DAW as free, fully-patchable Rack Extensions.

Both devices are faithful ports of Mutable Instruments' original, MIT-licensed source code, (Ring5 from Rings, Element5 from *Elements) rehoused as reason-native Rack Extensions that feel at home next to stock devices. Panels and patch banks designed from scratch.

Ring5 modal resonator‍ ‍

Ring5 is a modal resonator. At its heart is a bank of tuned resonators: Structure sets how the modes are spaced (from clean strings toward inharmonic, bell-like metal), while Brightness, Damping and **Position sculpt the sound and decay.

Six resonator models span sympathetic strings, modal bodies and rung metal

Play it as a stand-alone instrument, or patch audio into its inputs and Ring5 becomes an effect — ringing drums, vocals or any Reason signal through its resonators.

A built-in**LFO** (free-running or tempo-synced) and an **AD envelope** are wired to the front panel and freely assignable, so patches move and breathe without extra devices, and both are exposed as patchable CV on the back.
